Medicaid Coverage Updates & Resources: We’re Here to Help

Changes to Michigan Medicaid begin October 1, 2026, with additional changes taking effect in the coming months.

Not everyone will be affected by the same changes or at the same time. However, all Medicaid patients should make sure their information is current and watch for important notices from the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS).

 

Take Action to Help Protect Your Coverage

To help prevent an unnecessary interruption in your Medicaid coverage:

1. Update your contact information: Make sure your mailing address, email address, and phone number are correct in your MI Bridges account.

2. Report changes: Update any changes to your household, income, employment, or other important information through MI Bridges.

3. Watch for MDHHS notices: Check your mail, email, text messages, and MI Bridges account regularly for important information about your coverage.

4. Respond by the deadline: If MDHHS requests information or documentation, follow the instructions and respond by the deadline provided.

Visit Michigan.gov/MIBridges to review or update your information. You may also contact your local MDHHS office for assistance.
